Nature on Gedern Village Trail

Yes, we appreciate and enjoy our trail.  It does not lie fallow and unappreciated waiting for Columbia residents to swarm all over it.

After a December (2017) snowfall:

In December 2015, the StL region experienced significant flooding.  Palmer Creek, as seen from a GV Trail wooden bridge was full, muddy, and swiftly flowing:



Cardinal birds are always about along the trail:



Last spring I saw a turkey vulture in a tree.  It was huge:


Early one morning last week, we saw a bobcat making his way along our trail.  I wasn't able to snap a photo promptly.  My son's picture is akin to a Bigfoot sighting:


Our little dog enjoys the trail as well in all kinds of weather.  (This may frankly be from the City's public trail, as I notice the gravel shoulder.  Or it could be near our bridges.  Not sure.)
